What Does NIF Actually Do?
The National Infrastructure Fund (NIF) is a premier private debt provider specialising in financing socio-economic infrastructure projects and real estate, project development, as well as other forms of private sector lending. We deliver diverse investment solutions, including senior debt, mezzanine finance, and equity funding (with BBBEE support), to facilitate the development, construction, and operation of impactful infrastructure across key sectors.

The National Infrastructure Fund is part of an established strategic alliance with Gap Infrastructure Corporation and three associated entities. Together, this partnership offers integrated, end-to-end solutions for the delivery of critical socio-economic infrastructure across South Africa and SADC countries.
- Gap Infrastructure Corporation (GIC): GIC serves as the implementing agent, overseeing project and contract management, technical management, procurement, and financing for infrastructure projects.
- Infra-Plant: Infra-Plant facilitates access to construction plants and equipment for contractors engaged by GIC, ensuring seamless project execution.
- National Contractors Fund (NCF): NCF bridges any cash-flow gaps for GIC-appointed contractors by providing funding for certified work that has been completed but not yet paid.
- Kaya Reach: Supplies cost-effective fibre infrastructure for serviced stands, significantly reducing costs compared to traditional secondary services
